Halloween at Disney

Halloween at Disney means enjoying the rich oranges and bright golds of Autumn.   It means the characters you know and love will be dressed up in fancy costumes, and a spectacular fireworks display will light up the night.


It means the holidays have begun!  For Disney, Halloween is a time for pumpkins, skelletons (or Skellingtons?), and a few giddy ghouls and ghosts.

Consider spending your October vacation on the streets of a Disney theme park and you'll be sure to make memories that last a lifetime and have you coming back again and again!

A Disney Halloween

Beginning in October, the Disneyland Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, and Walt Disney World celebrate Halloween

Each park is different and has wonderful surprises in store for visitors.  

Tickets do sell out for coveted evenings like Fridays, Saturdays, and Halloween Night.  If you want to attend, purchase tickets early.

Spooks Come Out

At Disney, Halloween is the time Jack Skellington and his pals take over the Haunted Mansion.  

Ghosts have a surprise for riders on Space Moutain Ghost Galaxy.  And get ready to take some amazing photos with your favorite Disney villans.  You'll find them wandering around Disney parks during the Halloween holiday - and they're always ready for a photo!

Tips for a Fantastic Disney Halloween

Spending Halloween at Disney parks is a favorite way to start the holidays for many visitors.  If you'll be haunting the parks for your vacation, here are some tips for you:

Plan for Nighttime Photography

You'll get some wonderful photos during the day.  But don't miss out on photo opportunities after dark!  Make sure you know your camera's dark light settings and research how to take photos at night (if you don't already know how!)

Mickey's Halloween Party

A Disney World or Disneyland Halloween vacation (or staycation) wouldn't be complete without a holiday bash.  Mickey's Halloween Party is a special event where guests can trick-or-treat special areas, see great shows, ride holiday attractions, and even dress up!  This event requires a separate admission.

Pirates, Princesses, and Characters

What little girl doesn't love dressing up in her Disney Princess Halloween Costume?  Children under 9 can wear costumes when visiting the parks.  For special events like Mickey's Halloween Party, children and adults are encouraged to dress in their haunting holiday finest.
