Weather at Disneyland and Disney World Weather

Plan Ahead for Weather at Disneyland

Planning for Disneyland weather will ensure that you and your family are prepared to have fun no matter what the skies do. Disneyland stays open - rain or shine - all year long. So be prepared by packing clothing and accessories geared toward the elements.

On hot days, bring hats, sunglasses and sunscreen with you. Pack a rain slicker or poncho in case of rain and avoid having to purchase rain gear at the park.

Dressing in layers is always a good idea because you can remove layers if the weather is warm, or add layers if the weather is cool.

Find your Disney park of choice below to see what the weather is like.

Dream Tip!

Weather at the Disneyland Resort is dry, sunny, and mild most of the time.  The occasional rainy day usually means shorter lines and wet fun.

How to Enjoy Any Kind of Weather

Be Prepared to Get Wet!

A little rain never hurts.  If your day at a Disney Park turns wet, don your rain gear and enjoy yourself.

Rain or shine, Disneyland and all other Disney Theme Parks are open year-round.

Even Disney's Blizzard Beach is open year-round (but Typhoon Lagoon closes October through December!)

Seeing that you can enjoy any of Disney's wonderful theme parks any time of the year, you gotta be prepared for any kind of weather!

Here's how you can do just that...

  • Plan.  Plan for different kinds of weather.  That means dressing in layers, bringing a hat, packing sunscreen, and bringing (or purchasing) a rain slicker.
  • Drink your water.  We all know to stay hydrated when its hot, but the theme parks are big and you'll be doing a lot of walking.  Drink up, whether it's hot or not.
  • Take breaks.  Every once in awhile, slow down and enjoy the day.  Sit next to a fountain (or Snow White's wishing well.)  If you're not trying to spend all your time on rides, leave the park - remember to get your hand stamped - and explore the surrounding area.
