Did you know there was one (and only one) Disneyland opening day? Disneyland opening day was July 17, 1955. The 1955 Disneyland is different from what tourists can experience today, but many of the original rides and attractions are still around. And most importantly, the spirit of Disneyland remains – it’s still a place that inspires and fills visitors with joy and excitement.
Planning Ahead Saves

Disneyland is open all year long. You can visit Disneyland 365 days a year, but opening and closing hours vary and are subject to change without notice. Be sure to check hours before going. Or take your chances, but have a backup plan!
Save time and money by bringing a backpack filled with anything and everything you could need. Food and drinks aren’t allowed, but you can bring bottled water. Simply bringing your own water will save you a lot of money.Prepare to wait for the most popular rides. Lines for popular rides like the Finding Nemo Submarines and Space Mountain fill up fast. To avoid long lines, grab a Fastpass where its available, and get in line for popular rides when the gates to the park first opens.
